At EVO-LAW we believe in flexibility, transparency, and value. We provide a variety of models for engaging us, each delivered with clarity and with the aim to provide you the best possible value. We leverage our experience in the IT consulting industry, using a project management approach to the services we provide, ensuring on-time deliverables.
We bill most matters on a fixed-fee basis. In order to do so, we work with you to define the scope of the engagement, laying out what is included in the services, and determining an appropriate fixed fee and deliverable timeline. If any parameters of the project change, we will discuss the matter with you before making any changes to the deliverables or fees.
This model is ideal for finite engagements where the parameters are well-defined and there is little dependency on third parties. Some examples are: setting up a business, drafting company agreement templates, initial reviews and comments on agreements, auditing for privacy compliance.
If your company is at a stage where it requires regular legal support but not enough to justify a full-time in-house counsel, this model may be right for you. Much like SaaS, you can access our legal services for a subscription fee. Fees and services are determined after consulting with you to determine what kind and how much legal support you require. We also offer starter subscription services with limited legal support for our startups and entrepreneurs.
This model is also useful if your company has in-house counsel to supplement legal services without having to hire full-time personnel.
Hourly billing is a complement to our other models and can be added on (after consultation with you) in cases where services are required that are not covered in the original “fixed fee”or “counsel-as-a-service” arrangement.
We may also propose hourly billing by itself if we determine that the matter cannot be scoped out reasonably, given the information on hand. Volume discounts may be applied as the number of billed hours during a calendar year increases.
Initial Complimentary Consultation
After you’ve signed an engagement letter and supplied a retainer fee, we’ll provide you with an initial complimentary consultation to learn more about your business and legal requirements, so that we may serve you better. We believe this is invaluable as it helps us learn each other’s working styles, builds rapport and increases our knowledge of your business, helping us serve you better.
Contact us to discuss how we might help you, and discuss a personal billing arrangement.
